The Tucson St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival committee shares with a heavy heart that the 2026 Tucson St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been officially cancelled. This difficult decision follows the City of Tucson’s closure of Armory Park for renovations—a development we, like much of the public, first discovered through local news reports this past September.
Since learning of the closure, our board and volunteers have worked tirelessly to secure an alternative route and staging area that would accommodate the size and spirit of our traditional parade. Unfortunately, after months of diligent searching, it has become clear that the additional costs required for a new location are beyond our current resources. Additionally, the limited timeline has not provided the necessary window for the extensive fundraising and logistical planning required to move a community event of this size to an entirely new area of the city.
However, there is one thing known to be true about the Irish: we do not give up, and we are resilient in the face of hardship and adversity. We have decided to coinnigh ort, or “keep at it” for 2026.
While the parade cannot march this year, we are excited to announce that the St. Patrick’s Day Festival will live on at a new location! We are teaming up with our longtime friends at Corbett Brewing (309 E 7th St, Tucson, AZ 85705) on 7th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues to host a celebration of Irish culture and community.
The community is invited to join us for an afternoon and evening of live music, delicious food, Irish dancing, and the opportunity to catch up with friends over a locally brewed pint or two. The details may have changed, though the spirit of the day remains the same. THE CRAIC PROMISES TO BE 90! We're going back to our roots and bringing back the fun!
We thank the Tucson community for their decades of support and understanding during this transition. Please keep an eye on our official social media channels for more details and specific performance schedules in the coming days.
